Ian Claar is an Actor/Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD), a Managing Member of The Noble Blades stage combat troupe, and an active member of the stage combat community. He has a passion for the art and technique of stage combat and stunt performance and is an advocate for the safe and skilled application education of the art to all performing arts organisations, and especially to young performers.

Training

Ian began training under Gregg Lloyd at Christopher Newport University in 2013 and has continued to train and study ever since.

Ian has trained with such SAFD Certified Teachers as Casey Kaleba, Robb Hunter Andrew Ray, and Jason Paul Tate. He also regularly attends Regional Workshops to maintain skill and artistry, as well as grow as an artist and choreographer.
